Hey everyone!
As promised, the new update is out on the last day of the month! We’ve got a few things to cover, so let’s go ahead and get into it!
Things we have done:
As described last month, the physics system is integrated into our engine! This is a major development! The physics system is going to be the backbone of most things that you see in the game! For example, projectile motion, movement, flight, hit detection, all of these things are going to use physics to some extent!
Along with the physics we have gotten out our advertisements for new modelers, so expect to see the team increase in size in the next month or so. This will allow us to put together more ships faster!
Things we are going to work on:
This month we are going to continue working with the physics engine and integrate some of the features that were described above!
We also have Slammer building equipment lists for the different classes of ships that we plan to have. These lists will be posted on the trello board, so if you haven’t checked that out already, then in the coming month or so you may want to do that!
Issues we are having:
Nothing major to report here! We are driving forward with our work, and the issues we were having with lack of manpower is being fixed as we speak!
I would like to take a moment at the end of this month’s post to shoutout two people!
CopyCat has stepped up in a huge way and has been helping me manage the development for the project. I really appreciate all the work he has put forward with this. He’s had to learn almost everything about the project in a very short period of time, and he’s already been a huge help!
Secondly, Amiral Crapaud has joined our discord server and has been actively communicating with the community! In case you don’t already know him, he is the brains behind Task Force Admiral! His project looks fantastic, and he has a talented group of people behind him! He reached out to me the other day and since then he’s been a very welcome member of our community!
Finally, below there are a couple of screens from the work this month!
Have a great day!
Let the Storm Begin!
