Hey everybody, WWJD here!
I have a large community announcement to make! Overall I’m hoping that these changes will help the community grow, and for PSA to become a better game. Most of what I plan to change won’t be seen up front with you guys, but hopefully you will feel the effects of these changes. I am now starting my summer vacation so I’m going to have a bit more time, and I really want to get on a good PSA schedule. So let’s get into it!
I want to start by thanking God for allowing me to be here, and for allowing this group to succeed like it has. I secondly want to thank every single one of you. Without you guys I probably wouldn’t still be here, and I would have certainly missed out on a lot of amazing opportunities. So thank you guys!
Yup! For those of you who didn’t already know, we have a new website dedicated to PSA. I am thrilled that this is active. I want to thank all my Patreon supporters for making this happen. Your donations are helping fund the site.
With the new website I have a custom email: WWJD@pacificstormallies.net. If you need to get in touch with me quickly, this will be one of the most reliable ways of doing so. I’ll also be opening up a few new emails that are more specialized for you guys to report bugs and other such things.
Another massive benefit will be that we now have a location to post all of the latest updates without fear of them being removed. I’ll be putting the next patch to the website, as well as all the PSA mod tools for you guys to use.
One thing I really enjoy doing, but haven’t done much of, is making YouTube content and streaming. My goal is to make a new video every week, and to stream at least bi-weekly on Sundays. Depending on how things go I might be able to up to two or three videos per week, however for now I want to see what I can do.
During the last semester I was not active on the group as much as I wanted to be, however I plan to be online checking in every single day. Part of this will be organizing the topics, I have seen that some of our discussions aren’t in the right boards, so I’ll start trying to organize those around slowly.
Another thing I really want to do and will do this summer will be to work on PSA more intensively. I already have plans to be working on it at least 3 days a week, for several hours each day. I’m going to be taking a summer class, so I have to work around that, and I do have a part time job, which is another thing to work around. Despite all of this, active content will be released fairly regularly.
I’m going to completely rebuild all of the Patreon incentives. The old incentives are all outdated and don’t really have any meaning anymore, so it’s time to update those. In no way will this affect the quality of content I release, nor how I release it, but it may have an impact on how much content I am ALLOWED to create. I’m currently working part time to make a few dollars, and that takes up a good few hours out of the week, and coupled with school during the semester I’m unable to work with the group like I would like. I have decided that all the new incentives are going to be community time based. That means, the more donations I receive, the less hours I’ll take at my part time job, until I am able to completely cut it off and make PSA my job. This is kind of a large decision, and frankly I don’t even know if anything will come of it, but I think I’m willing to give it a shot. So, as of next week I’ll have a new list of incentives going all the way up to $1500 of donations per month. Again, I don’t want anyone thinking that this is the reason I’m coding PSA, nor do I want you guys to think that I’m going to make paid content. This is merely me trying to find a way to put more time into PSA and into the community. If you don’t want to donate, that’s completely ok, and I wouldn’t want you to, this is only a way for those who want to support me and the group to be able to do so.
